Details: PROPERTY MAINTENANCE INSPECTOR The City of Fairview Heights is currently accepting applications for the Property Maintenance Inspector. The position is under direction of the Building Official. This position involves performance of property maintenance inspections of existing buildings in the City of Fairview Heights to enforce the City's Property Maintenance Code and provides assistance to Building Official in his duties. Primary work involves inspecting residential dwelling units and property to ensure compliance with the Property Maintenance Code and inspecting existing residential structures for code compliance for the issuance of occupancy permits and issues occupancy permits as required and inspect existing building and structures to determine conformance with existing structure code. Job qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a certified apprenticeship program or similar program and two (2) years experience; or five (5) years experience in building, construction, engineering, architecture, or related field, BOCA Certification as Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector (or equivalent), valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the City.
