The Compliance Data Mining Analytics Officer will be responsible for designing, building, and leading a team supporting Data Mining and AML testing and more broadly, Consumer and Banking Regulations. As part of Compliance Testing, the candidate will work with senior management, business teams, compliance officers, and technology in order to understand various regulations and the supporting data and systems. The candidate will then determine feasibility, management, and design data analytics as part of an effective Compliance Testing program.The candidate should possess strong analytical and technical skills, and s/he must be comfortable operating in a results driven and fast paced team environment. The candidate will manipulate and analyze data sets across multiple platforms, including Oracle, Cognos, Mainframe (various), SAS, and other databases. The candidate will design analytics, which may become part of a continuous monitoring program. Strong database and/or data analysis skills are a must, and the candidate must have 7 years of applied experience in the area.The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background since the candidate will work with stakeholders as well as design analytics across multiple consumer product areas on a daily basis. The candidate should have a strong knowledge of banking, and AML experience is preferred. The candidate must have at least 7 years of applied experience at a complex retail bank or bank broker-dealer.The candidate should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable leading others. Experience managing and leading small teams is a must. The candidate will also need to understand and document their results, effectively perform quality control over the work of others, and capable of communicating complex technical or financial concepts to stakeholders. Experience documenting for litigation, audit, or regulatory exams is a plus.Additional background in compliance, programming, or assurance/audit related fields is preferred, but not required.

The Compliance Risk Assessment process has been subject to continuous enhancement as we strive to create an appropriately detailed, sustainable quantitative and qualitative methodology for assessing compliance risk. The candidate will work to design metrics and analysis to identify and communicate the Quantity of Compliance risk across the various businesses, products and geographies. This position will support the requirements to address the MRA identified, which will include the development and management of Compliance Metrics.The Compliance Metrics Analyst mines data from multiple data sources across the organization. Leveraging this database knowledge, the Metrics Analyst will work closely and collaboratively with the Analytics and Assessments team to analyze the data to identify trends and root causes of risk.Representative responsibilities include:• Collect and mine data from a variety of sources needed to identify trending and root cause analysis on key risk indicators of risk• mine database to identify issue and investigate risks, build a repository of trends to track and identify potential issues• identify and build metrics that quantify compliance risks• create and maintain dashboards to periodically report on key risk, performance and compliance indicators• gather, consolidate and simplify metrics and assist in the development and implementation of remediation plans• coordinate the production of on-demand risk reporting by implementing technology requirements
