Details: Department:  Mason & Hanger Job Title: Construction QC ManagerJob Location: FORT POLK 71459, LA, USPosition Summary: The QC Manager monitors all construction disciplines at the project site to ensure that the work being performed meets federal, state and local agency compliance standards. They monitor strict compliance to project plans and specifications and act as the primary field liaison to customer Quality Assurance Representatives.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEstablishes, coordinates, and monitors the quality assurance program; works closely with the superintendent to plan, schedule and implement QC related activities.Implement Three Phase QC ProgramAssure that a quality product is being provided through interfaces with the field staff and high expectations for the work that the employees and subcontractors perform.Review of all contract submittals and shop drawings to insure contract compliance. Inspect and insure all material received meet contract plans and specifications.Maintain redline drawings, as builts.Document and maintain deficiency tracking log and ensure their correction. Schedule, monitor and log all testing requirements.Schedules and chairs all preparatory meetings, schedules and performs all initial inspections, and performs and documents all Pre-Final and Final inspections.Responsible for the maintenance of material safety data sheet, MSDS records.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesLEED certification or project experience a plus.Milcon or Corps of Engineers project experience preferredMicrosoft Office Software, RMSProject:Design-Build of a new 68,555 square feet commissary facility (supermarket). This will include a general sales area, electronic checkout registers, receiving area, loading dock, meat and produce preparation areas, cold and freeze storage and other supporting areas. Mechanical ventilation and heat recovery are to be used where possible and backed up by self-contained systems. Reclaim of cold air spill over from display cases will be used in conjunction with the air conditioning system. Construction will include a refrigeration support system with automatic monitoring control systems. Exterior support includes tying into the existing utilities, services, and communication system, and providing pavement for delivery trucks and car parking. Project provides walks, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, site improvements and landscaping. Emergency building lighting and fire protection systems and mechanical space and accessibility for the physically handicapped will be included.Project will be constructed to satisfy current energy conservation policies, standards, and regulations as applicable. Force protection measures meeting minimum DOD standards are included. The project is sited in an area master planned as aCommunity Center.
